Like many of you, we’re still digesting the details of the new New Zealand Curriculum. There’s a lot to take in, and we understand the uncertainty this brings.
We want to reassure you that the sciPAD team is already hard at work. While it’s too early to release new sciPADs for the start of 2026, we’re confident that the new range will be ready by mid-2026, once the curriculum consultation is complete and the final requirements are clear.
Here’s some good news. We also write sciPADs for Australia, and there is a strong alignment between the Australian and New Zealand curricula. Our team has found that around 80% of the content from the Australian sciPADs will directly fit the new NZ framework. Only a few adjustments will be needed to make them fully curriculum-aligned.
To give you an idea of where the new NZ sciPADs are heading, you can take a look inside our Australian editions. Remember, their year numbering is different to ours (Year 7 Aus = Year 8 NZ), and while the content doesn’t line up exactly, you’ll be able to get a general idea.

Ordering Deadline for 2026 – 19 December 2025
If you want your sciPADs to arrive before the start of Term 1, 2026, we will need to receive your order by 19 December 2025.
You can still order after this date; however, we cannot guarantee you’ll receive them before your students arrive back at school.
Don’t worry if you don’t know your exact student numbers. We’re happy to send you more, or take some back, once your student numbers are finalised.
You will only be invoiced when your sciPADs arrive, and payment won’t be due until the month following delivery.
