CIRCUITS AND MAGNETS
Current in a Series Circuit
The flow of electrons in a circuit is called a current. Current is measured using an ammeter, a device
that is connected in series when added to a circuit. The unit of current is the amp (symbol: A). In a
series circuit the current is the same at all locations within that circuit.
1. (a) Draw a circuit containing a cell, and two bulbs with an ammeter measuring the
current flowing between the two bulbs.
