BASIS OF CHEMICAL REACTIONS
2. A scientific statement has been cut up into blocks. Each block contains part of a word for
that statement. Rearrange the blocks to form the statement. Some of them have been
done for you.
Acids, bases and alkillis are found in the laboratery and at home. They can be irritents or
corrosive and must be handled carefully. How acid or alkaline a chemical is can be meazured
on the pH schale, using indicatorz like litmus and universil indicator. Acids and bases react
together to form salts and other producks two. Laboratory acids are far too dangeris to taste,
but you will have swallowed some diloot, weak acids. Acids have a sour taste, like vanegar,
and lemon - both of witch contain acids. Most types of metels react with acids and produce
compounds called sults.
