New Level 1 sciPAD’s
Chemistry and Biology & Physics, Earth and Space Science Workbooks
New workbooks for the Chemistry and Biology, Physics, Earth and Space Science standards.
We are releasing these sciPADs in draft form to help you with your preliminary planning for 2024. These sciPADs will continue to be refined as we receive more information and feedback from the MOE and Pilot Schools.
Currently released sciPAD’s:
- Chemistry and Biology 1.2 Big Ideas sciPAD – Demonstrate understanding of a chemical reaction in a specific context.
- Chemistry and Biology 1.3 Big Ideas sciPAD – Demonstrate understanding of genetic variation in relation to an identified characteristic.
- Chemistry and Biology 1.4 Big Ideas sciPAD – Demonstrate understanding of how the properties of chemicals inform their use in a specific context.
- Physics, Earth and Space Science 1.2 Big Ideas sciPAD – Demonstrate understanding of a physical phenomenon through investigation.
- Physics, Earth and Space Science 1.4 Big Ideas sciPAD – Demonstrate understanding of energy in a physical system.
Team sciPAD is currently working on Chem/Bio 1.1 – (Microorganisms), Chem/Bio 1.2 (Reactions) and Phys/ESS 1.3 (Sun, Earth-Moon System) and expect to release these for inspection shortly.
Purchase of the books gives free access to sciPAD online providing unique and innovative digital resources to complement the printed workbook. Physical copies will available from October this year.
